Many members of IAMAS who attended the 2007 IUGG Assembly in Perugia have grave concerns about the organisation of the meeting and fear that the reputation of IUGG and the associations has been damaged. A number of prominant current and past officers of IAMAS therefore sent the letter below to the President of IUGG and the Chair of the Perugia LOC. The letter and responses received are therefore provided below in the hope that lessons can be learnt for future assemblies.
