Report of the ICPAE Business Meeting, 4 July 2007, Perugia, Italy, by Athena Coustenis
As president of ICPAE, I, Athena Coustenis, conducted a Business Meeting of ICPAE following the ICPAE Conference during the IUGG Assembly that was held in Perugia, Italy. The ICPAE Business Meeting began at 17:45 and ended at 18:30 pm on Wednesday, 4 July 2007.

The following items were covered during the meeting.
1) New ICPAE members, and Continuing Members: Prof. I Vardavas has reached the end of his membership. He suggested as a replacement Dr. P. Lavvas, who accepted. Nine nominations were made during the meeting for new members: Michael Flasar; Tetsuya Tokano; Véronique Vuitton; Christophe Sotin; Ralf I. Kaiser; Paul Mahaffy; Jonathan Lunine; Steve Lewis, Tristan Guillot All nominations were accepted, with the exception of P. Mahaffy. The 9 new members are: M. Flasar, T. Guillot, R. Kaiser, P. Lavvas, S. Lewis, J. Lunine, C. Sotin, T. Tokano, V. Vuitton
Current ICPAE members may suggest other new members by sending an email to A. Coustenis or any of the office members.
2) Promotion of planetary science internationally through ICPAE: Some discussion was held on how ICPAE could be more helpful in promoting planetary science, in addition to holding regular ICPAE meetings during IAMAS and IUGG General assemblies. Besides the bi-annual IUGG/IAMAS assemblies, and for the 2006-2008 period, the following meetings were or will be co-sponsored by ICPAE.:
o EGU 2006 (Vienna, Austria, 2-7 April, Session PS3.0)
o AOGS 2006 (Singapore, 9-15 July, Session PS06 & PS08)
o EPSC 2006 (Berlin, Germany, 17-22 September, Session PA2 & PM4)
o EGU 2007 (Vienna, Austria, 15-20 April, Session PS3.0)
o AOGS 2007 (Bangkok, Thailand, 31 July-10 August, Sessions PS09 & PS11)
o EPSC 2007 (Potsdam, Germany, 20-24 August, Session AO4)
o Goldschmidt Conference 2007 (Koln, Germany, 20-24 August, Session S18)

o COSPAR 2008 (Montreal, Canada, 13-20 July; contact S. Atreya)
