Structure

IAMAS is one of the Associations of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG), which is in turn a component of the International Council for Science (ICSU).

The internal structure of IAMAS consists of:

A Bureau made up of the President, two Vice-Presidents, a Secretary General (who is also the Treasurer), and a Deputy Secretary General. It directs and coordinates all scientific and related activities of the Association, and functions on a continuous basis, as required, in the interval between Ordinary General Assemblies.

An Executive Committee comprising the Bureau, the Members at Large and the Presidents of the 10 Commissions.

IAMAS officers are elected during its General Assembly held during an IUGG Meeting
