About the ICCL

The International Commission on Climate (ICCL) is one of the constituent Commissions of the International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences (IAMAS), which is one of the constituent Associations of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG). The ICCL was established in 1977 in response to the increasing research activity into the physical basis of climate and its variability. It is composed of scientists who are committed to fulfilling the objectives of the Commission and IAMAS, through cooperation with their scientific colleagues. Membership of the ICCL is unpaid and takes three forms: (i) regular members, (ii) officers, and (iii) emeritus members.
