It promotes advanced technologies in laser remote sensing and the deployment of laser remote sensors on surface-, airborne-, and space-based platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ICLAS promotes the study of Earth and planetary atmospheres, including atmospheric chemistry and physics, meteorology, pollution, and the interactions with the biosphere, oceans, and solid earth in multi-disciplinary climate and environmental studies. This study includes the interrelated physical, chemical and biological processes and their relationship to climate and to other geophysical and geographical issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ICLAS promotes advanced technologies in laser remote sensing and the deployment of laser remote sensors on surface-, airborne-, and space-based platforms<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ICLAS oversees the organization and planning of the International Laser Radar Conferences (ILRCs); a gathering of the laser remote sensing community usually convened every 2 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Membership\/Participation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working group members have a term of six (6) years.
