3rd International Summer Snowfall Workshop

The third International Summer Snowfall Workshop will be held online this summer, 31 August – 3 September (afternoons, European time).
Topics of interest include:

  • Ice microphysical processes and snowflake microstructure
  • Scattering properties of snowflakes and their connection to microphysical characteristics
  • Remote sensing of snowfall, and assimilation of such observations into forecasts

we welcome studies using theory, modelling, field observations or laboratory studies to address these problems.

More details can be found on the workshop webpage: http://www.met.reading.ac.uk/~sws04cdw/issw3.html
Please consider submitting a short abstract by Friday 14 May.

Organisers: Chris Westbrook, Karina McCusker, Stefan Kneifel, Dmitri Moisseev, Maximilian Maahn
